Content Strategy (How We Work)

Here’s How We’ll Craft the Perfect Content Strategy

The first step towards the perfect inbound content marketing strategy for your company is a consultation. We’ll discuss your business, focusing on your current position and your expectations. I’ll explain the various potential strategies based on what you’ve told me, along with which types of content will be necessary accordingly. I’ll take your feedback into account before working up a custom content strategy.

Don’t worry about meetings that drag on forever. We try to keep them under 30 minutes. I do as much research on your business from the moment you make first contact so we won’t be starting from nothing. Any further queries can be addressed via email. That said, I’m always open to a call if you have concerns.

Let’s look into the types of content we’ll create.

Blog posts are the building blocks for any content strategy. They focus on various trending topics concerning mental health in your particular niche. This content is perfect for sharing on your social media channels and will come up in online searches, bringing new visitors to your site without you having to do any extra outreach.

In most cases, we will post one blog per week. When your company has important updates, or you want to share some behind-the-scenes information with your readers, we can do additional, unscheduled posts.

Thought leadership articles are features that build your brand. In the mental health space, people are unlikely to trust the first company that comes up in a search. They’re looking for the experts leading the industry. That’s you! But you need to prove it.

By posting long-form articles that use your exclusive insight to share cutting-edge ideas which generate discussion, we position you as a thought leader in the industry.

The need for and frequency of thought leadership articles varies greatly from one company to the next.

Resources are informative articles that help readers understanding relevant topics. These might include the mental illnesses your products or services treat, the types of treatments your company provides, the processes involved in getting help, and more.

Resources bring in visitors from social media and search engines, but this is not the only purpose they serve. They also provide value to current clients, who will return to your website when they want to better understand a topic. This builds loyalty and keeps your business top of mind when they do not currently have need of what you offer.

We start building a resource base from the start, and go at whatever pace suits you and your budget. It is not an essential part of every content marketing strategy. Depending on what you offer, a resource base may not be necessary.

Newsletters are an excellent way to build a mailing list. They provide valuable content on a schedule, building a connection between your company and your readers. When they require the services or products that you offer, your business will be top of mind.

Made up of a combination of original content and summaries of blog posts from your website, newsletters go out weekly or monthly, depending on the needs of each company. The mailing list is yours to do with as you wish, including sending out marketing to those who opt in.

Ebooks are increasingly used by companies in all industries to build their status and create leads. There are many possible approaches to take with ebooks depending on your niche. Having an ebook in your company’s name gives you a valuable asset to offer your customers, whether as a reward for signing up to the mailing list, a free gift that comes with an online purchase, or as a product in its own right.

Unlike the other kinds of content we create, ebooks do not bring visitors to your website. Rather, they provide an effective way to convert those visitors into leads. People interested in the topics explored in your content will jump at the opportunity to get a high-quality ebook with an eye-catching title. They’ll gladly sign up to your mailing list to grab a copy, and your company will stay top of mind when they consider your niche.

Copywriting is not part of a content marketing strategy and most companies we work with have already sourced their website copy. If you have not done this yet, we recommend that you hire a dedicated copywriter for this job. However, while we’re working together, we can provide excellent copy if you need it urgently and don’t have an alternative copywriter available.
